Freeroll
In poker, a “freeroll” is a tournament that has no entry fee but still offers real cash prizes and other rewards. This allows players to try winning money or valuable prizes without running the risk of losing their own funds.
Freerolls may be organized by poker rooms for the purpose of attracting new customers, promoting their brand, or as an incentive for regular customers. They can also be used as qualifiers for bigger tournaments.
Participation in freerolls can be open to anyone who wants to play, or access can be restricted by certain conditions, such as using bonus codes, collecting a given number of loyalty points, or meeting other requirements set forth by the poker room.
