Nut hand
The best possible hand considering the community cards on the table. For example, if the community cards on the table are K-J-10-4-2, holding an ace or any other “spade” card could be deemed a particularly advantageous position to be in. Sometimes, this term is used to refer to the best possible hand of a given type, though this is not always an accurate description. In the above example, the player with cards A-Q can say that they have “an excellent combination to complete a straight”.
