Offsuit
The term “offsuit” in poker is used to describe two cards which are not of the same suit. In the context of Texas hold 'em, if your two hole cards are from different suits (for example, one is spades and one is hearts), they are deemed “offsuit”.
In practice, a hand made up of different cards is usually less advantageous in the game than cards of the same suit (suited cards). This is due to the fact that suited cards can lead to stronger hands, such as a flush (five cards of the same suit), while offsuit cards don’t allow for this possibility.
